After-school rock music classes for kids and teens — taught by a Berklee-trained instructor on a professional live stage. Individual instrument tracks and a one-of-a-kind Band Class where students perform together.
Most music schools teach technique. We teach students to be musicians — which means learning to play with other people, on a real stage, for a real audience.
Small class sizes mean every student gets individual attention within a group environment. Learning alongside peers builds listening skills, timing, and the social confidence that solo practice never develops.
Four progressive levels across eight quarters. Students always know where they are, where they're going, and what they need to achieve to advance. No guesswork, no aimless lessons — a real educational pathway.
Every quarter ends with a Final Project performance. Students don't just practice — they prepare to perform. The stage at VIP Studios is a professional performance environment, not a classroom with a microphone.
Five instrument classes and one Band Class — each following the VIP Music School Methodology. Students can take one class or combine an instrument class with Band Class for the full experience.
Power chords, riffs, rhythm, and lead technique. Students progress from their first open chord through advanced rock guitar over a two-year, four-level curriculum. Both acoustic and electric technique are covered.
The pulse of every great band. Students develop groove, timing, fretboard knowledge, and the foundational role that makes a band lock in. Bass students are natural candidates for Band Class.
Coordination, groove, and the rhythmic backbone of every song. Students progress from basic rock grooves through advanced independence and dynamics — and become the most in-demand players for Band Class.
Two-hand coordination, chord vocabulary, and harmonic understanding — built through rock and pop repertoire students already love. Keyboard players are essential to any complete band.
This is what makes RockStar School of Music different from every other music program in Central Florida. Students form a complete band — guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist — and spend the semester learning to play together, rehearsing real rock repertoire, and preparing for a live performance at the end of every quarter.
Band Class is open to students with basic instrument proficiency. Taking a concurrent instrument class is strongly encouraged but not required. Four progressive levels over two years, from foundational ensemble skills to advanced live performance.
